Home networking definition?

Home networking = the connection of two or more computers within your home or small office. The connection is usually made with inexpensive hubs like those from LinkSys or NetGear. In the case where you only have two devices, a hub may be eliminated through the use of a crossover cable. The home network can be placed so that all the computers are in one room or in multiple rooms in your house. In this way, many different combinations of devices like printers, modems and scanners as well as other PCs and workstations can be shared.
